Joe Abercrombies The First Law trilogy left me breathless and longing. I dreaded turning the last page, knowing that never again would I meet Logen Ninefingers, Sand dan Glokta and the others with a fresh eye.
But I look forward to visiting them again.
I hope this trilogy doesn’t stay a trilogy. No,I do, but you know that feeling – when you just can’t get enough. The first law is one of the best fantasy-series I’ve read in awhile, the characters became my long lost friends, they seem almost real to me.
Now,the pregnant hormones might’ve been involved with all the crying for the ones that go back to the mud, but I don’t think it was all hormones. The characters, even the small – one-timed-mentioned ones, seem real. You get to know them, their hopes and dreams and how they are.
And the quotability- oh, how I loved that! Say one thing for Joe Abercrombie, say he can write.
Full marks from me, and I hope I get these books for xmas.
I have so much to say about these books, I have to cut myself short, otherwise I’d blather on for ages. I know one thing – this has inspired me to write again, to draw, and to read more above all.
Thank you,Joe!
I loved the first law trilogy! Abercrombie recently published «The Heroes», which takes place in the same world, but follows different characters. The Heroes looks a little too violent for me, but I look forward to rereading the First Law again.
Ooh,did not know that 😀 Gotta get my hands on those! 😀
